Valle Crucis, North Carolina Map & Directions

From the Raleigh area:

Traveling west on I-40 exit north/west on Hwy 421 at Winston-Salem towards  Wilkesboro & Boone. After entering the Boone city limits keep an eye out for the Toyota dealership on your right..get in the left lane when you pass it then , at the top of the hill where there is a traffic light having 2 left turn lanes, turn left on Hwy 105 extension. Go 1 mile wh/ will put you at the interesection of Hwy 105 & Hwy 321. Go straight through the intersection, watch your odometer and when you've traveled 4.5 miles turn right at the traffic light into Valle Crucis ( just before you turn right at the light you'll cross a short bridge over the Watauga River ). You'll now be on SR1112 also known as Broadstone Road ; stay on Broadstone..you'll go past a horse farm on your right, the Mast Farm Inn on your left, the Mast Store Annex & Candy Barrel on your right, Valle Crucis Elem. School then the Mast General Store having an ESSO sign hanging out front. Go past this store 1/2 mile then turn left on Watauga River Road   before crossing over a concrete bridge over the river. Travel down Watauga River Road for 1.5 miles & you'll see us on the left.

 

Coming from the Asheville area:

Travel east/north on I-40 to Marion,NC. At the 3rd or 4th exit travel north onto Hwy 221 all the way to Linville,NC and look for the sign for Hwy 105 north to Boone. Travel towards Boone. After you pass through Foscoe you'll notice you're traveling down the mountain & after you've traveled about 2 miles out of Foscoe you'll come to a traffic light. Turn left at the light & you'll be in the Valle Crucis community. You'll travel about 2-3 miles then you'll see the Mast General Store which has an ESSO sign hanging out front. Go past the store 1/2 mile then turn left onto Watauga River Road. We're 1.5 miles down on the left.

 

Coming from the Charlotte area:

From Charlotte travel north on I-77 up to the intersection of I-77 & Hwy 421. Travel west  on Hwy 421  towards  Wilkesboro & Boone. Coming from the Knoxville area:

Take I-40 from Knoxville until I-40 splits with I-81. Go north on I-81 until you come to Exit 23 (Hwy 11E and Hwy321) and go towards Greenville, Johnson City.  Stay on 321 all the way to Elizabethton. In Elizabethton you will turn right on to 19E / hwy321. Stay on 19E going towards Roan Mountain all the way until you come to Hwy194. Turn left onto 194 at Elk Park or Cranberry. Stay on 194 all the way. You will go through Banner Elk, stay straight all the way to Valle Crucis. The road will come to a T intersection and a stop sign. Turn left, you will go past the Mast General Store which will be on your right. Go exactly  1/2 mile past General Store and there will be a road to the left just before a bridge, Watauga River Road. Turn onto Watauga Rvr. Rd. we are exactly 1 1/2 miles down on the left.

 

Coming from the Greenville, SC area:

Travel north/east on I-85 and at exit 78 head towards Chesnee,SC on Hwy 221 which will take you all the way to Linville,NC. In Linville travel north on Hwy 105 towards Boone. After you've passed through Foscoe turn left into Valle Crucis at the next traffic light wh/ is at the bottom of the mountain. Stay on the road ( Broadstone ) for 2-3 miles, go past the Mast Gen. Store having an ESSO sign out front, go past the store 1/2 mile then turn left onto Watauga River Road. We are 1.5 miles down this road on the left.
